We were delighted to have the opportunity to increase awareness of our charity and the work we carry out, when we were invited to take part in the Carers Week event being held at Sainsbury’s Horsham.
Carers Week is a UK-wide annual awareness campaign. During the week the UK’s six million unpaid carers are celebrated and recognised for the contribution they make to those they care for, and to their communities. Sainsbury’s stores throughout the UK are taking part by organising events, running information sessions and recognising the carers they work with or support.
Sainsbury’s Horsham supported the campaign by arranging for local charities to have displays at the entrance to the store, in order to promote their work. Home-Start CHAMS was the first of these, on Monday 18th June. The stand was manned by staff and volunteers throughout the day and they were pleased with the level of interest shown in our charity.
